Should a person lie to their doctor?

And should a forum agree (overtly and covertly) that it's o.k. to falsify information to your doctor?
One member told another (who wanted some genetic tests performed) "just tell the doctor your relatives had clots and you'll get the tests".
This despite the original member having said that none of the family had had clots.
Another member seconded the suggestion to lie to the doctor.
The AHA recommends this: to talk to your doctor before making changes in your anti-coagulant.

The member who mistakenly seconded the suggestion \"just lie to your doctor\" has corrected the mistake on his/her part. I\'m glad to hear that.
