shots, anal glands, mangos, and church

i took the kittens to their 3rd set of shots and that's it, as far as vet appts go for em, except when they have to get fixed.after that all they got left is annuals. boy they have gotten so big! the vet was so amazed at how healthy they are now compared to when i 1st took em in.  Silver's anal gland busted again... that's like the 3rd time in 4 months! and it's the same one every time. i spoke to the vet again and she put him back on antibiotics. she said that if it keeps getting like this then they may have to surgically remove it. aww man... poor guy! he's tired of seeing those vets! and for another surgery? he just had bladder surgery earlier this year! gee... i really feel for the guy. it's been raining today from storm Felicia and it will continue to rain thru tomorrow. but no flooding so far, not much high winds either. it's a nice break from all that heat we had! besides, we really needed the rain, it's been so dry. i baked banana nut bread again, but this time we doubled the recipe so i'd have more of it too eat! lol! yes i know, i'm supposed to be on a diet, but this stuff isn't bad for your health and it's so darn goood!!! YUMMY! somehow i think i may have lost a bit of weight becasue some of my clothes feel looser now. that's good, right? but like i said last time, i will make mango bread next, we have tons of em now! speaking of which, we have some necterines in the fridge, i should go make some mango necterine smoothies! mmmm.....  oh and one last thing... mom and Sonnie have become really religious lately. they've been going to church like every other day and some times 2x a day. they keep trying to push me to go to church with them. but i can't handle events or things like church. it's too loud and i can't sit for 2-3 hrs, it hurts! that's one of the reasons i started my Saturday morning Bible study. but Sonnie said if i son't start going to church with him then he won't come to the Bible study. i was pretty hurt by this. but after thinking it over, it's really his problem not mine. anyways, thanks all my friends for being there! you all are so great! God bless!

Wow! I can\'t wait to see how big the kittens have gotten! They\'re so lucky to have such a good home!

We had some rain today with a little bit of flooding, but nothing major. And I still made it to work okay. Although, the baby\'s mom had her doubts because they live in the neighboring city and they flooded worse than we did. It\'s so crazy how a storm can affect places differently. Thank goodness you aren\'t getting hit with a bad storm! I was praying that Felicia wouldn\'t hit you really bad!

I\'ve been so busy working and getting ready for the trip that I haven\'t had time to make the banana nut bread. I plan on making it when I get home, though. I can\'t wait! I\'ve been yearning for one of your smoothies since you mentioned them! LOL

As far as church and whatnot, you have to do what\'s good for you, not what\'s good for someone else. It\'s not fair for anyone to try to push you to do something you\'re not comfortable with. You\'re absolutely right when you say it\'s his problem, not yours. Your a strong individual and God blesses us all no matter if we go to church or not. If you just believe in him, then he will always be with you.

I hope these \"words of wisdom\" (LOL) help you out! I\'m counting the days to next Friday! Can\'t wait to see you at the airport! xoxoxo

I LOVE kittens and cats but somewhere in my mid-30s I became allergic and now I can\'t even touch them But I have my canine fur babies - my Max\'s fur is so soft it\'s almost like a cat :)

As for church - I commented in your thread but I want to say that last night I had a dinner with one of the boards I\'m on, and the restaurant was beautifully and artistically decorated and all the furniture was antique - electic mix and match - and I ended up sitting on this straight-backed chair with a dainty round seat, at a table that was too low for me to cross my legs or change position, and after three hours of that I was so sore I called Jon when I left the restaurant and said \"Please have my meds out and waiting!\" I\'m a lot better after a good night\'s sleep, but I\'m so there with you on the inability to sit through things - having nothing to do with whether you\'d LIKE to be there or not - it HURTS!

I can\'t deal with chatter type noise that happens in church. It brings on my headaches. I went to a wake and I had to step out 4 or 5 times. My parents drove mr there. It was my brothers, wife\'s, brother. Over 300 people showed up.

I don\'t mean to stick my nose in family business, but I have to comment. You have always very clearly demonstrated that being Christian doesn\'t have anything to do with religion. I hate that your family is making you feel this way.

I don\'t think they should push you. They love you and don\'t understand what they are doing. Understandably, they want the best for you. Maybe they can be open minded enough to consider an option that might be better suited to your needs.

You could try an online church (like this one http://www.enewhope.org/). That way you can control the volume of the music and move around when you can\'t sit any longer.

I don\'t know anything about the one I gave you a link for. I just wanted to give you an example in your time zone. I went to this one http://seacoast.org/ It was nice to be able to go to church even thought I didn\'t feel good enough to get dressed and deal with people in person (I still can\'t believe I went to church in my jammies LOL).

Rick Warren\'s church (http://www.saddleback.com/index.html) has an internet campus too. He\'s the one who wrote _The Purpose Driven Life_.

I\'m not trying to recommend any particular one, or even tell you that you need to go to church. I just wanted to be sure you were aware of this option. I thought, if it was something you DID want to do, it could take some of the pressure off. At least they couldn\'t say you don\'t go to church, and you may find you like it.
