Shop Talk
I haven't got too much to complain about today. Just enjoying the life of a retiree. Whenever I do think about missing my job, I turn on one of those reality shows like "American Jail" and see just what I'm missing. After I do that I don't seem to miss it as much as I thought. Just those little 30 minute episodes get me thinking "I put up with all that for 26 years?" To be honest, I would still be doing it to this day if I could. I guess I'm just an adrenalin junky. That might be the real reason why I tune into those shows. Seems like old times. Whenever I do get too nostalgic though, I just remember those occasions when body wastes were the weapons of choice for the emotionally diturbed or drugged up inmate. One thing that the shows can't convey is the smell and lack of hygiene of some of these guests of the state. Particularly when they are first booked in from the streets. Hmmm, my retirement is looking better and better.Ah well, enough "shop talk". I am feeling better so that's a good thing. I guess I'll go back to my John Grisham book. Ahh Tom...we get street people as patients once in awhile so I do know what fragrance you are discussing. I dread body odor as much as perfume...really triggers my asthma. I look forward to retirement but at the rate I\'m going, I won\'t be able to afford rent. I\'ll be one of those street people if my family doesn\'t take me in. Be glad that you are retired and have family all around you. That is the biggest blessing there is.
26 years of adrenalin pounding throughout your body?! You are lucky you didn\'t get a stroke or heart disease with all you must had to put up with! I know it is hard to sit still, but find something to keep your mind busy....yeah, John Grisham...more adrenalin on every page! Haha.
...And on a bright note...enjoy that retirement the best you can. I look to do that myself, one day!
I can imagine it must be hard to go from so much action to only having to battle your family...they probably win most of the time too.

Yeah the family does win. I don\'t get to be Captain at home. Oh well, they do let me hang around so that\'s something.
