Shocked, Amazed and Oh So Grateful...BFP!!!
A total miracle. I had given up. I thought for sure it would take an IUI or IVF. With our insurance refusing to cover, I knew we couldn't afford it out of pocket. So I had given up.
AF was due on Wednesday. I got up early to take a pregnancy test so that I could cry about the negative, deal with it and move on. I took the test, hid it in the package and waited, reading posts on DS and such. Finally, I decided to get a drink and then look. But as I got to the sink, I glanced at the test...and froze. Two lines. There were two freaking lines. My brain couldn't process it at first, I think. Then it sunk in and I just lost it. I hit the floor and sobbed. All I could think was 'Thank you, thank you' over and over.
I woke my husband up to tell him but I was just sobbing. He panicked, thinking something terrible had happened. I choked out 'I'm pregnant', which I don't think he could make out, so I handed him the test. It took a minute for him to process the information too. Then he just pulled me into his arms while I sobbed.
I took another test yesterday. Two very bright pink lines.
I can't believe....it seems like a dream. Like it's not real.
Mixed in with the joy, is a lot of fear. I'm trying to keep it at bay, but it's hard. It's so early. What if something happens? What if this dream turns into a nightmare? After waiting so long...what if it only leads to more pain?
And guilt. Why would this miracle happen for me? I haven't had to go through the failed treatments and procedures that so many of you ladies have dealt with. I feel guilty that I got a miracle and so many of you still suffer.
I'm due May 10. The day before Mother's Day. My husband says he's taken care of my birthday (in a week and a half) and Mother's Day gifts already. I agree. He couldn't have done better. :)
