Shit Shit Shit
What a day............. Clint went into hospital on Monday to have his tonsils out. I felt bad enough that I couldn't be there with him, living two hours away. But he was adamant that he would be ok and his flatmate would pick him up.Well his original few good hours, turned into vomiting blood, fluctuating BP and splitting headache. He's been on a drip and had 5 litres of fluids today, struggling to eat and keep anything down, so he's in again tonight. Hopefully he'll go home tomorrow morning and then I will organise to get him here so he can recover with his mum. Either I will go and get him, his brother will, or his flatmate and another friend will drive him down and leave his car down here with him - which would be great for everyone. I feel so bad not being there with him, expecially as he is feeling so blah. But there are a number of reasons I can't. One - didn't know when/if he would be coming out. So I would have had to drive up and back then up again to collect him and back. A 4 hour round trip is too much for me in one day now, especially if I had to do it again the next day.Plus, I had an urgent Board meeting tonight, which is not something I normally put ahead of family, but as it turned out, I needed to be there. I have to make some calls and prepare some information first thing in the morning, and depending on the outcome, may not have a job by the end of the day. It's a very long story, but basically there is a dispute over who owns the "assets" of the place I've been working for and so they are challenging the Board to hand the business over to them within 28 days or it goes to court. The Board will fight tooth and nail, only problem is, the other mob have advised our bank and the bank have frozen our cash flow (limited cash flow at that). Not a good place at the moment. I have to go in tomorrow and advise the remaining staff of this information - not looking forward to it at all. Now, last, and by no means least...... Dale called in the middle of the meeting. Which I let ring out of course. He left a message asking me to call him when I got the message. He had to have a medical for his new job and they found a hole in his heart. He had heard from the specialist who wants him in hospital asap to do surgery to close it up. He has ostrium primum ASD which is usually found in childhood and dealt with then. This particular problem is the more difficult of the surgeries to perform (of course) and can cause permanent damage. I just hope like hell its not too far down the track and he has no permanent damage. He can't have the catheter inserted through the groin, he has to be opened up. The surgeon is getting more advice from other surgeons cos it's not a common condition. Sooooo that's my day in a nutshell!!!! Guess it could be worse, but sure hope it gets better :)

Really sorry to hear about all this!! I hope it all turns out for the best? How old are Clint and Dale? My 17yo niece just had her tonsils out and she had a lot of pain and couldn\'t eat for a week!!
oh deb, i\'m so sorry to hear about everything! i wish you all nothing but the best, keep me informed!
Good God girl, what is going on!!! I have a break and your life falls apart... Seriously though I hope you get some good news about Dale\'s surgery. And Clint being in hospital as well, and your job - I am amazed you are coherent enough to actually write in your journal! Huge hugs coming your way.
Thanks you guys - maybe I\'m just shell shocked, lol.
But seriously, what else can you do? Things could be worse, and I\'ve been worse, at least I\'m in a place where I can cope.
holy cow! i\'m surprised your head hasn\'t started spinning yet! what a night mare! God be with you and your sons. o h my gosh, i can\'t get over how one day can hit you like a bomb like during a surprise attack! you better hunker down and start praying, we will be praying with you as well.
Well, something has to get better, not much to get worse, huh? Miss you. Wished my computer worked so we could catch up. Maybe soon. Hang in there!
