The honey barn is feeling done. The exterior caulk and paint remains to be done and the odds & ends list is a constant with any building, even a new one, but the empty spaces beneath the new roof are filling with living purpose. The extraction room has its form. The pieces of herbal and honey extraction are falling together around the abandoned table I pulled from the early clutter to mark the space where Hubby's fancy, motorized honey extractor will stand when it arrives. The old hand-cranked extractor he has used since his first honey harvest in 2012 stands in the corner like a museum piece in need of a curator. The box room is already in service painting the bee boxes he has post-poned painting since? ? ? I'll let him track that time-line. Hubs is debating how much of his urban bee stash will move up here to the other half of the box room. Should he buy new shelves, build custom shelves or bring up the shelves which currently hold the urban bee stash? Listening like it's not mine to sort, Love. . . How 'bout another cup of libation to free the inspiration?
The third room of the barn remains unclaimed, but there is no hurry on that score. For now it still holds the project center I will need to finish up the exterior. I feel pampered having such a clean, open space to hold my project center. Where are my designer shoes? 'Tis now a space fit for High-steppin' Honeys. The wet paint on the exterior will be dry soon enough.
I find myself reluctant to think of any of the other projects Hubs and I have discussed in the LFL (Long Fucking List) of potential farm upgrades. Most of the items on the LFL have LFLs of their own. I find myself remembering that I have been on my way back to the River Region for 10 months now. Is it finally time for me to leave in the morning? I *really* mean it this time. Well. . . The morning after I finish the exterior of the honey barn? ? ?
The sub-arctic snows are melting as I type. The annual migration of The 3 Sisters (H20) currently frozen in North America's mid-continental valley who are destined to meet up with the sisters in the Gulf of Mexico is on. Crest Party Time approaches. I feel like I should already know (more or less) the snow crest arrival dates at the confluence of the Ohio and Mississippi Rivers and be scouting the locale candidates for the Crest Party.
Yea, yea. . . I'm just shoulding myself again. . . I can be a creatively shouldy gal. . . Is "Creative" another word for JPC (Just Plain Crazy)?

We are supposed to be in for a big windstorm starting this afternoon …. I'm hoping that we won't lose power.... Strange winter that we're having
Meeting your sister's in the Gulf would be fabulous fun..... Big hug.....xo
JC with out the P here. Nothing plain here. Though the wind warnings are high with a freeze on the backside. Below freezing will follow for the next week. This has been a big system. I have watched some of the snow in odd places news. Hawaii, Las Vegas, Tucson? The latter is currently colder than my back porch this morning.
I just heard the take off of my recycle bin...It's not out of the yard yet so , coffee?
That's what we're having jewells….. Coffee sounds great!!…. I'll bring the Danish.....xo
We'll drizzel the Danish with honey and watch the paint dry or fly.
Relating so much to this post, Arfie and love the “LFL” description. Can I borrow it for my own use?
In many ways, the situation with you and your hubby is very much reminiscent I what I go through with my husband, though his lists are general MUFL (mini unimportant fucking lists) or that’s he general opinion and reason for procrastinating, ignoring or just plain old not giving a damn enough to do it. I generally am the one with the “LML with their own LMLs”. They often wind up including his MUFLs as I get fed up reminding him, hearing “in a minute” and the watching minutes become hours, days, weeks, etc.
Hugs, empathy and support Arfie!
Loves!
Bless You Arfie...I actually laughed out loud for the first time in Ages! Thinking it was a chuckle you gave me last week between the breathing tears. (MFL) Mind Fuck Lists...my own MF's come in many different forms...this is where I laughed out loud...I just Started Another MFL ToDay!
Amazed and sit here in wonder as I read all you have accomplished in 10 months...my home some projects are still waiting after 20+years!...I keep asking for your energy to come through the Universe to get me off my arse….baby stepping to get kitchen sink faucet fixed.

CT had next to No winter this year, Crazy temps...scary...climate changes Not Good!
We're celebrating the gorgeous day here with a fire on the patio outside the sliding livestock door of the milking bay cum bee box room. The honey on the table is crystallized, so it isn't drippy but you can remedy that with a bit of heat from the fire, if you want. I kinda went silly on the chicken, skirt steak and veggie meddley. 7 grain bread, corn bread and chocolate cream cake available.
