She is Gone
She is gone. My aunt died this afternoon after fighting for many weeks. Her granddaughter called to give me the news. I told her, "Well, she's in a better place". It is one of the many sayings people use to console others in the time of death. But, is she really in a better place? What better place is there than this earth that God created for us. According to the Bible, the angels envied us. Depending on your beliefs, my aunt is at the right hand of God,,,she's with Jesus,,,she's reuniting with her sisters, brother, mother and father who have gone ahead,,,we'll see her again when we die,,,she's in heaven with all her pain and frailty gone,,,,she's a spirit,,,or she's asleep awaiting for the second coming. Personally, I believe she's asleep as are my mom and dad. But a better place? Her happiest times were with her family, whether it be a family gathering for Thanksgiving or Christmas, a birthday party, a wedding, or an anniversary. Family meant so much to her. I guess that's why it was so easy for her to become my second mom when my mom died. What I do know is that she never has to struggle to breath, walk, talk, or,eat. And she has no pain. I know she knows her family loved her. She will be missed by her family and her friends. I will miss you Aunt Marguerite,,,,,more than you'll ever know. I was blessed for having you in my life.

So sorry to hear about your precious aunt/mom. But, you are right, she doesn\'t have to go through any more pain. Maybe you will see her in your dreams and can give her a hug! (I see all those I love who are gone in my dreams and it is so comforting to me.)
