She FIXED them.... those rose colored glasses.

GAAA... yep, that's it, I'm outta there!   I'm stunned, horrified.

Right after my last post, my sister and her soon to be H put a post up...  I really thought she understood...

Photo Scene:   An empty room.  Caption at the top.   "This Room Is Filled With People Who Care..."
Me... I'm the one standing BEHIND you, BEHIND the camera.  And I went on to say that the room was a blank slate to create, explore.... graffiti on the back wall that was not in the shot could be framed to represent being done with it and moving on or painted over with enough primer that it wouldn't seep through or that it could be chipped away, little bits at a time and made fresh.  And that plants in the room, also out of sight, represent the people you surround yourself with and I challenged friends and family to come forward and be the "green" of those plants.  And where the plants might be "dying" and strangling the individuality, the creativity, they could be replaced with the important things, like photos of their children so you can see them when they are at rest and can smile.   And all they had to do is decide what style they are, who they want to be....
Not a single person... not a friend, not a family member responded to it, except me.
AND THEN she ignored it, pretended it wasn't there - didn't delete it - but didn't respond either.... and subsequent posts show that she's run back to the family to affirm her illusions.... the same way she always does.    And the biggest FOOL?   ME.  Because once again, I thought she'd see.

MAN, why do I do that....   oh wait, that's right...   that was me...

I\'ts hard to be the one on the outside of family. Sometimes you just have to walk away. I did and have never regretted that. My life is quieter and healthier that way.

As Trisha said (only in different words) \"Your true family isn\'t necessarily related to you!\" This had to become my motto when I finally learned to see through all the illusions I held for so many years. Let it go, my friend. You will never be able to make someone else \"see\" what you do.

I had to \"go dark\" from my Sinister Sisters and my life, too, is a lot more peaceful without them meddling in it. Yours will be, too. Just let them go...

\"Your true family aren\'t necessariy related to you.\"

\"Ask yourself: if this person wasn\'t my relative, would they be my friend?\" If the answer is no, you don\'t need any further information.

Well, A\'s been my best friend... which is why I was trying in the first place, why I even bothered to continue discussing it after the \"incident\" with my aunt. But yep, you guys are right, time to move on. I\'ve blocked the aunt and uncle.... I certainly don\'t want to be pissed off all the time when I check in on FB. It\'s part of my DIGNITY rule... don\'t allow abusive people in. I\'ll quit feeling sorry for myself now. ;) And you know... part of it (or maybe all of it) was just the FEAR of being alone again. Things we do to ourselves, lol....
