Shaping Delusions

A place for everything and everything in its place. Delusions, too? There is no question that compulsively acting on my delusions have caused quite allot of malicious mischief, but . . . What's the diff between a dream, a vision and a delusion?

Hubs and I are on the cusp --prayer in progress-- of being able to take a set of keys off our 50 pound key rings. Family rumor has it that the in-law house is empty. The ifs are aligning for it to be off our plates on March 1st. Prayers on-going. Still ain't got all the ifs out of it. It ain't over 'till the ink dries.

Hubs and I started calling the job-site, "The Outyard" this weekend. Beekeepers often call the remote hive locations, "Outyards." I sometimes wonder if hubs is growing attenae and mandibles. Everything is bee biz in his world these days. He is being called, "Honey Dude" in the oddest of places. Works for me.

I am headed back to the outyard this morning. I have a meeting with a wildlife diversity biologist from TWPD tomorrow. We see what grows.

Prayers ongoing. My ifs seem to have turned into unuttered screams, and I would love an outyard in which to shove my buzzy thoughts, to make honey for me. Is that delusional, a dream, or what? Beats me, but prayers ongoing, Arfie. Prayers ongoing.

Delusions occur when you're denying something important about yourself and/or the outside world. Most of the delusions that people have stem not so much about believing what isn't true as from not believing what is true. It takes us on a paradoxical mobius strip of behaviors ranging from self-empowerment vs. helplessness vs. overly control-freaking. We refuse to believe in our own personal agency, so we tend to believe we tend to see ourselves as helpless or a control-freak for so long it feels more comfortable. But the truth is usually that we have greater capacity to act on our own behalf and effect desired outcomes than we believe we do about half the time and at the same time lesser capacity to do so than realize the other half the time. Even in this, we tend to unconsciously find balance as we fluctuate between these states, although we have the capacity to embrace both the uncertainty and the personal responsibility that accompanies self empowerment. At the end of the day, it's not necessarily required to live a life of fulfillment, which the Forrest Gump reminds us.

I think the idea of beekeeping is a little scary and yet, awesome at the same time.
Bee good to you!
