Shoes
Well, I'll start training for my new job a week after tomorrow. Looking forward to it, but I'm a little scared. I've never done anything like this before. But then, when I got my first job in food service as manager of a Dairy Queen, I'd never done that either. And when I went to work for Kinko's, I'd never operated a copy machine. I had training before I got my first job in radio so that was pretty easy. Plus, I've always known how to talk. It's 5 weeks of training, then on to the job. I noticed today that my legs were feeling kinda funny. I always worry about my legs. That's where the muscle cramps showed up first when I was a teenager and where they took an artery out for the bypass surgery, and where I got MRSA. They just weren't feeling right. Then, after thinking a bit, I figured it out. I've got to start wearing shoes every day again. It's been house shoes and flip-flops since I lost my job except when I went somewhere. It's just been automatic that when I get home, the shoes come off. Got to get used to them again. Didn't get any presents for Christmas so I bought myself some. I bought house numbers for the front door. There's a new newspaper carrier and after a couple of mornings of a flashlight being shined on the house, I realized the only numbers for the house are small ones on the mailbox. I thought that was one of the first things I did when I moved in was put big numbers on the house. Guess I thought wrong. And I bought a water filter for the kitchen faucet. Waco has a problem with the taste and smell of the water and sometimes, it get's really bad. And it's really bad right now and since I drink a lot of water, coffee, and tea, it was a good investment. I think Foxy's getting kinda tired of me being around all the time. She can't settle down. If I go to another room, she's got to know where I'm going and if I stay in a room for a while and she's in another room, she's got to check on me. Funny,,,that's what I do with her. Sometimes, we run into each other when we check on each other. Guess that's love.
