It’s odd how I have so much to say and never really shared it with anyone. When there is someone who will listen, it truly is a wonderful thing for both people. Listening to stories, relating, giving advice, analyzing, and supporting are the key to a great friendship. I guess I don’t have many friends to be able to share and open up with. Maybe it’s because I choose to hide. Hide from the world, hide from myself, and hide because I feel vulnerable of getting hurt. Either way, I have forgotten the power of sharing. Sharing my thoughts gives me a feeling of release. I feel at peace. I never knew how much I needed this simple action to make me feel “not so heavy”. I have been weighed down with internalizing thoughts. Perhaps, I am evolving into something better: a better person. A person that I can be proud of, someone that isn’t so dark and gloomy.
I have more room for happiness now. My mind doesn’t seem consumed by the clutter of my existence. Purging the useless thoughts has renewed my spirits. Not to say they aren’t still memories in my mind. They are still there but, I don’t feel so alone. They have meaning now: my existence has meaning and worth. It feels good, real good, and I will try to remember to share more (even if I think it is insignificant). I am going to stop hiding.
Thanks for listening my dear friend

Sharing and venting allow us to set aside the overwhelming feelings we have from trying to carry all of struggles of life inside of ourselves alone.

Once we get what we are going through put down into words we can begin to \'see\' more clearly what is going on in our lives. Overtime this provides us with the ability to take the needed actions to begin making life better.

For some of us it is this sharing that is keeping us alive to survive some truly horrific realties that would certainly end our lives if we were forced to keep such nightmares stuffed inside where we were forced to cope with them alone.

Gentle ((hugs))

I loved your entry today. So positive. I feel inspired by your writing, as I am trying to write more of my inner thoughts down. I have held them inside for so long and shared with so few people. Thanks just for being you!!
