sewed the seam on one of the pants today. let's see if it holds. i had my sewing badge in girl scouts in fifth grade. lol. but, i can count the number of times i sewed anything since then on two hands. lol. nice skill to have though. hope it holds. the pants i found weren't in my size. they cost $24 at target which means beall's outlet will have them for $15 i bet.
saw fireworks over by target, unexpectedly. a LOT of people there. nice way to view it. seats and a/c. lol. they said the fireworks were rained out on the fourth and there was an accident on the 5th...so it ended up being on the 8th? whatever. very pretty. picked up popped corn and went shopping. had a key made for c who lost his and gave him choice of the colored key chains. the front kitchen window is busted. he blames a kid with rocks. i said it to k and he says. sure. and there were 7 large ethnic men at the house fighting with him as well (when you call the police, the police say it never happened). left cat food for the cat and c also claims the white cat belongs to the guy across the street who used to be married to michele and that the cat is 15 and died. no idea if that is true or not. can never tell with him. wish i did know. the animal looked pregnant to me.
there is another animal at ace, that they call ace and have been feeding for 3 years. it gives birth every year. i have to remember to fix it in the fall. wonder why they didn't get it done before that.
discovered from tom's receptionist that tom's wife is "banning" the phone numbers of his old friends and customers at his office. does he know this? mine is banned because he was listening at the DOOR when we were talking in the lobby! he didn't come into the lobby to listen or talk because she doesn't want him doing that. when we bring a rescue animal she wants only the tech to look at the animal and not him. she is serious. what the hell? lol. when she first took over the office she doubled his prices and that lowered the number of people going there, it was either do that or expand. after she married him i heard it had become like a chopping block. had no idea what to think because of the soap opera element to all that. i would expect km to have left all that for obvious reasons. i think she is still around though. lmao. wth? when we had an emergency spay because the vet at the clinic was whacko (they later blamed the tech and did the spay as scheduled) but when i was pricing it, his office was $95 when allllll the other offices were 20, 30, and 40 for a rescue spay. very strange. it ended up being free anyway and all went well. i thought it was odd, but didn't really think anything of it, until this. didn't see r yet, even though i need to bring in k's cat. everyone thinks the blood and wound is fighting, not cancer, its the second time in seven months, same type of injury and this time there is swelling. that cat is 15 years old and very nice, fighting over what and where? but i will chat around and see if r's number is also banned. wth? the receptionist says his wife will put him out of business. she is around 15 (at least) years younger than him, so why all the paranoia. seriously. i said it to rn, who does more wildlife than anything else, and she is like, he can retire in two years, so as long as he paid into social security it won't matter what happens to the business and kind of flattering that his wife is so concerned, but kind of nuts too - makes you feel like you can't breathe. everyone is more talking about the house up the road that burned down. that couple is still married "out of guilt" because he cheated on her. however, he is/was also an "abused husband" (she beats him up) so which came first? verrrrry odd. rn insists the woman became twisted after he cheated on her, byn says she had bipolar all along and it just got worse with age and she doesn't take her meds. who knows. the house had no insurance and had been up for sale. beautiful two story home - rare in florida. total loss now. she has a smaller house next to it and he lives elsewhere. soooo many married people live like that - stay married but are in two different houses, usually a block or two away. lol.
so i forgot about the banned numbers and tried to call about k's cat and then the soap opera talk started again. how do people live like that. drama and melodrama over nothing. i get up north and d says to me, don't forget i have surgery on tuesday. wth? i told him he has to write it on the calendar or there is no way at all that i would remember. so next week is going to be something else. grrrr. also noticed the manx has a mark on her, but the marks that were on the small dog seem to have healed. i wonder what that was? i should get that stuff they sell for hot spots for dogs. also, need to do their nails. (my nails too! lol.)
