settling in for fall
I bought a new crock pot a couple of weeks ago and it has been put to good use lately. I have become addicted to pinterest, so many good ideas that I will never do.....but I love all the inspiration!
I have been cooking roasts and stews and I started a roasted tomato soup today. I still have so many tomatoes out there.....they are even still flowering!
I have been getting out the fall decorations and thinking about my halloween stuff too. Hubby has said that I cant dress up the puppy for halloween......lol
It is time to take the hammock down......I might have to get a new one for next year, I did learn a good lesson though.......dont lay in a the hammock if you have buttons on your back pockets. It broke some strings and now I have a hole started.
I need to get stocked on some more books.....I guess I will head over to the second hand book store and try and find some classic.......I think I'm going to look for some Virginia Wolfe, I havent read anything by her.

You can get the kindle app for computers and phones. Then the classics are free or close to it depending on who put them into e form. You sound pretty good. I hope all is well for your family.
I just am so so into crock pots. I love being able to just put the meal in there & not really worry abt it. They really do cook food so so good don\'t they.
There\'s nothing like fresh tomatoes is there. Our plants were still flowering too & we got hit with a bad frost one night. We had them covered but alas mother nature was stronger. Roasted tomato soup!!!! sounds way too yummy I think.
I always go to a second hand book store for my books also. One can save alot of money by doing that & it\'s better then all those books just being discarded & wasted.
you sound wonderful! interesting about the crock pot. one of my grandmothers adored hers. i think everything she made, was made in the crock pot except for roasts. lol. she used to use it for spagetti sauce as well and it was good.
i do that with books. i switch between newberry award winners in the intermediate section of childrens (a lot of family style movies are made from those books because its pure reading, the wisdom and the story line but no smut. lol.) and then i\'ll have a pile of biographies and the like for adult reading that actually uses the brain. virginia wolfe is serious reading. wow! fdu university used to put out a list called \"the great books\" and its all kinds of reading, some required in college, and some books that university feels all people should read. i know wolfe is on the list.
