Set back
A flare-up of my back problem has prevented me from walking for the past couple of days. I think it is the arthritis but not sure. It's in my low back on the side of my spine. It has been almost a week now since I put my sneakers on. The best time for me to have gone would have been last Friday, late in the day. I was feeling great but as I was getting ready to go I received a phone call from a family member. She asked me to go and bail out my niece who was in jail after being caught stealing prescription narcotics with her boyfriend. For some reason there seems to be alot of that around here! So being the nice guy that I am, I went. After I picked her up, I never said a word to her except, "you can't do those kind of things !"She just said "I know"! Why is it so hard for kids to learn empathy! Stealing from an elderly lady! Geeesh! But when I think of her family, I can easily understand why she is the way that she is. Hugs to everybody!

Hugs to you too...its hard when you see young people, especially family, messing up and going down the wrong road and nothing you can really do about it. Hope your back is feeling better soon!
Get to feeling better. Sorry to hear about your niece.
i\'m wondering if your niece was stealing the meds for herself, and if so, whether that is tied in to the genetic predisposition you mentioned in your own Story?
regardless, it was nice of you to go and bail her out. the missed walk will \"come back\" to you in another way. if sacrifices are silver, then gold is our reward.
keep focused, and all will be well, and all is well, and all will be well...
always,
