Seriously stressing out
Went to apply for gov health insurance.. was already to be accepted and then my husband decided to take it upon himself to apply for unemployment knowing I asked him to wait till I was approved for medical.. but go figure he didnt listen and now I was denied Medical coverage.. so here I am 32 weeks pregnant and no medical insurance.. I am beyond stressed out

Uhhh I am sorry. Those boys...never listen! I wish I could give advice but I don\'t know much of anything about that stuff. I just know, it WILL all work out, somehow it always does!

I\'m not well informed about the system. I think that to better preserve your sanity accept what has happened, research to see if there are any remedies. At the very least remember that your child and your health are what matter most. Your in my prayer.
Ugh, so sorry. Were you applying for insurance for both of you, or just you? I do not understand why his unemployment has anything to do with your health insurance. Does that mean he can get health insurance for you two through unemployment?
Sounds a little messed up to me. Try to stay calm for your and babies health! Hope you can figure this all out!

I too thought no one could be denied but medicaid is based off your income and because I alone only work 25 hrs a week I qualified for it but when he applied for unemployment he made our household income go up too so now I dont qualify for it.. ugh so frustrating.. Please keep me in ur prayers I am due in just 8 weeks
Ah, I see now. But just because you are no longer qualified for medicaid does not mean you can not get insurance, just means you can not get Medicaid. Yes you have to pay a little bit more, but in the grand scheme of things its not that much more when you do not have to pay hospital bills in a few months. Also, know it takes a month for your insurance to kick in, so you do not want to wait too long to sign up.
I second what LMWT says and the baby will be covered by Medicaid if you don\'t have any insurance when she is born.
Ya luckily I have an interview with Medicaid to go over my income I am hoping they can offer me some help if not at least point me in the right direction
Ahh so stressful!! I\'m sorry! My husband did something stupid too when I was late in pregnancy-38 weeks- he quit his job!! I was furious and freaked out. It turned out she was born the day after the coverage with his job ended, go figure. but we were able to get cobra coverage, along with a major headache and probably 40 hours arguing with insurance companies on the phone. I\'m sure there will be a solution by the time the baby comes, but just try to focus on the fact that she is coming. Worse case scenario: you have to pay a ton of money.....but, you still go home with a baby. you still win! Best money ever spent hands down!!!! Xoxo
