I say the rheumatologist today.  I was getting my infusion, which I was soo fatigued that I was falling asleep, and he came in with his laptop(that's what they use for a chart-I think it's great!).  I was surprised because I was expecting to see him in an office at my 2:45 appointment time (2 hours after the infusion).  Anyway, other than the handshake there was no physicial contact.  We talked in a not so private room.  I had taken my notes of the many symptoms I've been suffering as well as a laundry list of questions.  I am a bit of a self diagnostician, so I had already presented him with two choices based on my symptoms, RSD and Fibromyalgia.  He never even talked about RSD. He said based on his clinical examination, it is Fibromyalgia.  I was somewhat devastated.  I guess it's hard for me once you put a name on it.  I have heard even more horrific things about Fibro than the RA I have been dealing with for a year (at least that is when it was diagnosed).  Anyway, since I am tired of the pills I opted for water therapy @ $30/visitX3 visits/wkX 8 weeks, a mere $720.  Ok so we named this thing, but we never talked about how we can get rid of some of the symptoms, other than pain.  Will I always have visual disturbances?  Should I see an opthalmologist? IS there no concern over the tremors/increased migraines, dizziness that would warrant a look by the neurologist?  At this point I need to get a second opinion from my primary.  I respect my rheumatologist, I even like him, but have some concerns over his laid back approach.  Don't get me wrong, he is treating the inflammation agressively, but everything else, not so much.  I will just put this situation in the hands of a well-able, just and loving God!  God, I trust you completely and I realize that ALL things work together for good for them who are the called according to your plan!
