separation
I have decided to separate from my family problems as much as possible. I can no longer be responsible for other people's happiness. I cannot intervene in my brothers possible suicide. I have given him the correct information. He has a wife; he has a car which will get him to a hospital. I cannot change my mothers illness although it is getting much worse; I can only do so much. My father refuses to ask for help from any other sibling but me. I cannot change the fact that my sister chooses whether or not to come to work for me every day. I cannot change my financial difficulties. You may be asking yourself why I call this a positive journal entry! Because my friend, the only thing I can change is myself and how I look at my placein the world.

Be gently on yourself. Your right though, we can only change our own thoughts and not those of others. Family can be like an emotional rollercoaster ride. I\'m glad your deciding to get off.
I really commend you for that. You have enough to worry about. You don\'t need to be the one responsible for holding your family together too! And you\'re right, you can\'t change circumstances, so it doesn\'t pay to spend a waking minute of your day worrying about them.Take care of yourself sugar :) And God bless you
