Seminar down
Got my seminar in last night. Which is a required step for having the surgery. It was an informative seminar, however, I have to say that the only thing that I didn't know prior to this due to my own research was the doctors stats for the surgery. Got to talk to some of his patients in different stages of their journey and while they say he could stand to improve all in all they were happy with the treatment they have received and were really satisfied with the level of care they were getting. It was informative for my husband and I am glad that he was able to go with me to the seminar so that he will now have an idea of what I am embarking on. I was surprised to find that my cousin who lives in that area was at the support group meeting and that she had the sleeve done in January. We greeted and hugged each other and for a while I thought I didn't want anyone like cousins, aunts, uncles, etc to know about having the surgery. But you know after running into my cousin knowing she just went through close to the same thing I will go through and I will have someone who understands in the family as will she. I also met another lady from my area there as well and we exchanged numbers so that we can be a support to one another. I am gathering a support group and doing really well at getting people in my midst that will be there for me and all that I am going through.
