Self-preservation based decision...

So today I made the decision that I'm going to skip Mother's Day this year. Fortunately my DH was understanding when I explained it to him...well after having a few meltdowns over the past couple of weeks I think, after all these years, he's finally realizing that all the dissapointments we've been going thru are hitting me a bit hard. His parents are coming out to visit for a few day but I suggested having them over for dinner during the week instead of that day with the rest of the family. Mother's Day is hard enough as it is...it's not going to be any easier spending it with my sis-in-law who deliberately got pregnant with no problem at all so that her long time on-again-off-again boyfriend who inherited a bunch of money would marry her. It's all I can do from slapping her when she tells me she knows what we're going thru because she knows someone else who went thru fertility problems. (Yeah...really) Fortunately my mother-in-law is the least judgemental person I've ever met and not the type to push the subject...if only everyone else were that way! =D
I'm meeting a girlfriend of mine for dinner for the 1st time in a couple of months & I'm strangely excited about. I just needed that time away from people...guess I'm finally ready to come out of that hibernation! Now fingers crossed that nothing happens to cause a set-back. =D Eh...if that happens I just have to remind myself that I will live thru it!
Hope everyone has a good weekend!

I don\'t blame you for your decision to skip out on it this year, it sounds like you made the right choice by doing what\'s best for yourself with everything that has been going on. Glad to hear your hubby was supportive, it does seem like its always harder for us month after month than it is for the guys, even though I know its still dissapointing for them, too. I hope dinner goes well! By the way, what are your plans for May? Are you trying again this month?? Praying things go your way and sending lots of baby dust to you! :)
