Self-Control by Others
I should not be allowed to do anything. A dear friend sent me some brownies, and much to my appreciation and approval, my husband hid them after I'd had a handful. Today I have been looking at maternity clothes online at Pea in the Pod and Mimi Maternity. Why am I letting myself do this? Or why have OTHER PEOPLE allowed me to do this? It's just waking up the barely-buried tug in my heart. Come on, Behavior Police, I can't be expected to make wise Internet choices on my own, any more than I can be expected to refrain from the third brownie. In other news, I worked out yesterday even though I didn't feel like it. I was thinking on the way to the gym, in fact, that what I wanted was TO HAVE worked out. But there's only one way to get there. Working out. I did it. And now I'm going to mark off some progress on my "goal."

Hi - thanks for your welcome and support on the discussion board - I came to your profile to read about your story and so relate to you! Good for you yesterday working out when you didnt feel like it. I didnt feel like it either yesterday and went as well, and now today I dont feel like it again, and am going to because you\'ve inspired me! I want to dump these 40 pounds - hey 50 would be great, that\'s my ideal, but 40 would be terrific and healthy pre-preg weight ..... I\'ve bene on Jenny Craig for a week and have my first weigh in tomorrow - and my husband has been so supportive ... it\'s great when they do things like hide brownies from us for our own good! :)
I\'ve never looked at maternity clothes online, but I\'ve stopped and window shopped in countless baby stores .... I dont know if it\'s unhealthy unless it\'s unbalanced. Positive visualization can be very good! Keep it in check maybe - if it\'s positive it\'s great, but if it makes you feel bad or sad, stop. My two cent suggestion anyway.
Take care and thanks for the warm welcome again!

Good working out! That\'s that hardest part...getting there to the gym. That is my problem.
