My likeness is being kind is often seen as weakness. hang in there.
Child, that poem is FIRE! It says it all. We didn\'t turn our backs on others, yet they have no reservations about doing us this \'favor\'! We\'re not supposed to covet, yet you cant help but to see or at least it seems that they are rollerskating through life whilst we claw and dig our way out of deep, dark, black pits. I could go on and on. Great poem. You put some raw, real feelings in there.

My husband and I are songwriter\'s and it\'s all about keeping it honest and real. It\'s raw feelings and beautiful! My husband and I can relate to all of it. Difficult to choose a certain part as it\'s all good. Lovely, honest and heartfelt poem. artfullofheart
I can totally relate to the friends turning their back, even though I try to always be there for them.
I can\'t pick this writing apart.to find a favorite part. It speaks to everything I feel. In sharing this you make me aware of guilt I put on myself for some of those feelings. I think I should be selfless and if I was really a good person I wouldn\'t feel bad about those that aren\'t there. I \"know\" we all experience being there for others and then they can\'t or won\'t be there for us, but for some reason, reading your poem made me really acknowledge some resentment I have and the guilt I carry for that resentment. It is something I need to work on. There are things I know, think I am aware of, but it takes words from others to make me see. There is so much more in that poem. I hope I can remember where to find it to reread again and again.
