Seems we're turning a corner....

My husband has found a full time job! This is a first in almost 2 years. It wasn't so bad when Mom was still here because his was the supplemental money to pay unforseen bills and such...or so I thought before Mom died and all this debt came to light. Anyway, he's going to help set up the kitchen he'll be cooking in and at first he'll be working some overtime then he'll settle in to a 40 hour schedule. He's going to be cooking now instead of prepping, cooking and doing the dishes all at one time. This is so very much what he needed to have in his life to feel like he's contributing. He works his butt off and people tend to take advantage of him as a result. This isn't the vibe we're getting from this owner. The restaurant is still in the re-design phase and won't open until August 1st, but he will be doing some of the workto get it ready. He'll start training in the kitchen there later this month.
We had to follow the signs. First I saw this place in a neighboring town that looked like the kind of restaurant he's best in. Family style and breakfast is a specialty. Then I saw a news story about this restaurant opening in our town even though lots of restaurants are closing here due to the bad economy. Then I come home to about 5 cups or so of wild berries that I made into a yummy cobbler. The name of the restaurant, Wild Berries. Then I saw the building they are going into and the next day I was off so I told the hubby we're going to check it out. He went in to get the app to fill out at home and ended up walking out with a job!
God gives us everything we need if we trust full in Him and he gave me all the signs to see the door He was trying to open for us PLUS He gave me a quiet calm heart to help me see the signs!
We may be able to dig ourselves out of this pit after all!
