Seems like nothing is going right
I was SO looking forward to going camping this weekend. Sunday is my birthday and getting away for the weekend was going to be a wonderful gift. Our oldest daughter and her family were coming with us, had reservations, spent the entire last weekend cleaning the camper and took today off to finish up packing. Also took tomorrow off work and wanted to be prepared to pull out as soon as DH got home from his part-time job at 11:00 a.m.
Weather forecast destroyed the plans. Rain & strong thuderstorms all day Friday and all day Saturday. Being cooped up in our little pop-up camper with 4 adults, 2 kids, and 3 dogs for the entire weekend just didn't sound like much fun, especially during the 'strong thunderstorms with high winds'. So trip is cancelled and it'll back to the same old, same old - cleaning, cooking, supervising our grandson's friends when they spend the night, and visiting Dad at the nursing home. Such a let-down. I just can't even think of anything else to do instead since what I'd like to do would be going to a zoo, on a picnic, fishing, hiking - and the weather just won't cooperate. This is the third weekend in a row that's been a washout. Rain, rain, GO AWAY!
