Like most everyone, I have had many ups and downs during my lifetime.  About a year ago I experienced what I refer to as my "nervous breakdown" most likely caused by many losses of people I love.  I had trouble sleeping and eating and even trying to drink a glass of water or take a pill was a problem.  I couldn't drive or even go out of the house.  With the help of professionals and my family, I finally came out of it.  Unfortunately, it left me with what the doctors call IBSD and/or IBSC (which I honestly believe is their diagnosis when they can't find any other reason for those things).  For many years I had chronic constipation which I managed the best I could.  But, the diarrhea was, and still is, a very unpleasant surprise!  If anyone out there has any answers or ideas about the questions I have, I surely would appreciate hearing from you:  Are there any prescriptions or over-the-counter medications that have helped you?  Does anyone use or know if medical marijuana helps and is it available to people with IBS?  Do you know whether it's foods or stress that trigger your symptoms?  Does eating veggies help or hurt?  Thank you for reading this and please respond.
