Mother's Day plans are stirring. At the in-laws, of course. They are the masters of all holidays. I have pretty much stayed out of all the holidays since the late 80's when my beloved and I were feuding our way through contemplations of divorce. I haven't let myself think on it much since. Holidays are about acceptance in my mind. It is what it is. Let it be. Flow with it.
During the high demand phases of parenting, it was a gift to stand alone in the driveway and wave as Daddy drove them off to holiday adventures at grandmother and grandfather's house.
