Second job

My second job is going well. FT work plus my PT job plus trying to do everything else? Not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

The wife said literally after my 3rd day on the job that I didn't need to get it since we got caught up. That's what I was saying to begin with, but ok.

Since I'm working it, I can get some things I need for my extra activities. I been wanting to build a home studio for recording music. $2k should set up what I'm wanting but first, I want to get one of our boats running. It's a 1973 Bomber Raider bass boat. Needs carpet, batteries and the motor looked at since it hasn't ran for a few years.

It's nice your earning extra money to buy things you want.

Super happy for you. You deserve to reward yourself for working so hard.

Good luck with your new projects. I'm sure once the boat is up and running it will be worth enjoying.

Very glad to hear your wife has become less stressed over money and feels she now has a good financial safety net. Having a savings account with the money from your second job is always a good thing to have. A financial safety net gives one much stress relief. Save up a nice chunk and then consider what is best for your family to do with maybe 1/2 to 1/3 of the money.

That's true hasty_05. Thx CaliforniaItalianlover. Anniehart, it will be nice. It's been 2 years since we put a boat on the water. We now have 2 boats and a kayak.

Fishman, getting back to an old hobby that gave you joy will be helpful in your emotional wellness. Having this purpose and goal will allow you to more easily put the effort into both your jobs. Things are looking up for you and your wife.
