Season of Lent week 2 (having some issues)

Well, I was making pretty good progress as far as my juicing until...  Where do I begin.
I have been having some chest pressure for a couple of months and I thought it may be indigestion.  Well, I went to the doctor yesterday and it turns out that it is acid re flux (GERD) is what the doctor told me.  So, I have to change me already slim diet for a few weeks to stop all acidic foods.  Which means, no orange or any other citric fruits or juices. So now with my 2 juices a day it will mainly be veggies.  We on a regular basis have been mixing oranges, apples lemons, etc. in both the veggie and fruit juice.  I can't have tomatoes, spicy foods, no chocolate and some other stuff.  What in the world am I going to do!  I'm not a coffee drinker so I was okay with the no caffeine but when she said you know chocolate has caffeine I was not a happy camper.  I also found out on thing that can cause this issue is eating too fast.  Well, I started a new job about 2 months ago around the same time along with my juice and my recent lack of exercise and we have been so busy that we have not been taking lunch which means I have been wolfing down my food.

Ok, now that I have vented.  I had some veggie juice this morning, popping Tums and have to pick up the Prilosec which I will have to take for about six weeks.  I did have some apple juice this morning.  I will do my best to work around my issue and I guess I better get my butt back to exercising since losing 5 to 10 pounds can also fix or help reduce the issue.  On a side note I am down to 150 as of this morning which is down 2 pounds since I started.

This has been my accountability check in.  I'm trying.

Congratulations on the 2 pounds! That is great. I have acid reflux also but I will not give up my chocolate! LOL. I eat spicy food every now and then. I just watch myself on certain foods. My daughter has acid reflux too. She does not watch her foods. She is at college and it is hard for her to watch the foods she eats up there. She does not have a stove. All she has is a microwave. If Prilosec does not work for you, let your doctor know. There are so many medicines for this. I wish you the best.

Thanks for the words of encouragement. I started the Prilosec on Friday and it seems to be helping. I have also cut out just about everything as far as the foods and I brought my workout clothes with me to work today so we will see.
