Sciatica hurts

In January, I was having lower back pain. It was going down my right leg. My primary doctor diagnosed me as having Degenerative Disc Disease! She gave me some Tramadol and Methocarbam for muscle spasms.It made me sleepy, and would ware off quickly.  Then, this past Saturday, went to the emergency room, because I was having lower back pain with my left leg hurting. they gave me a shot, and had me take home hydrocodone. 2 days later, the pain got worse! I had problems with driving, walking, bathing, putting on my pants and shoes.it was horrible! I had physical therapy, and the exercise made my back hurt more. Also, my calf and foot was becoming numb!!! So, I went to the VA Emergency room, and they announced that I had a sciatic nerve issue. I was so irritated, and miserable all at the same time. I saw my Primary care doctor,she said that I go to the emergency room too much....ARE YOU SERIOUS!!! I was having problems walking, and she said that I should had handled it at home!!!I almost got into 3 car accidents driving around with that condition going o trying to get to my appointments!!! I am about good and ready TO CANCEL ALL OF MY APPOINTMENTS AT THE VA BECAUSE THEY DO NOT OFFER TRANSPORTATION FROM MY DOOR TO THE HOSPITALS!!! I AM SICK OF THIS!!! when I put in a claim for my back, its going to take them 2 YEARS TO MAKE A DECISION, and to get benefits for a caretaker part time will take even longer!
