School, Play Dough & Work
"Hope is like a road in the country; there was never a road, but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence." – Lin Yutang So, my business class that I am taking to wrap up my degree is pretty hellish. It is filled with so much fluff and things I already know from running my 6 year old business that I find myself mostly bored and annoyed. What’s even worse is in the grade book it has an average of 77.8% or something like that yet my first test the lowest grade I could get on it was an 80% if she marked my SAs wrong yet she NEVER GRADED my SAs and yet I was given an 80% as if she did (though it says she didn’t grade them) which if she DID I would get a 90%. Make sense? It doesn’t to me especially the 77.8% overall average I am getting with say my lowest (and only test score) being 80%. So, I have to email her and bring this to her attention. I really am trying to be positive about this course. I am also hoping that I learn something I do not know and that it won’t be a waste of my time. However, I find myself laughing hysterically or groaning as I am reading my text book. I absolutely DREAD study time but I still stick with it. Husband has been really busy with work but we make sure to get some quality time in on the weekends. We have a new tradition where we go to brunch on Saturday. We take time to catch up and talk about us. We then go to the book store usually or do some misc. errands. It generally turns into a very nice day. Husband has a new project for the kids at school where they are going to be constructing their own pyramids out of play dough. The big catch is they cannot use their hands to move the “stones”. Instead they have to construct and build ramps, cranes etc to lift and build their pyramids. They essentially have to come up with a plan (and blueprints) to construct it. Husband came to me with this idea and to work out details which I felt honored. Then we went on a mission to price materials (clay, play dough, fimo etc) only to find out it was going to get expensive. I had remembered when I was little that my mom would make us play dough on the stove. After a little research and some trial and error I found a play dough recipe suitable for their needs. So, I have to make a butt load of play dough and color it brown. Add the above on top of studying and making the stuff for the fundraiser on the 17th of this month and things should get really interesting. Shockingly enough I am not feeling stressed…just cranky because I am not a morning person. I hope everyone is well! ~Bright Blessings~Rea

You definetly sound like an achiever. I remember making clay with my Grandma when I was little. I love making clay things and I think we baked them when we were done. In those days the popular thing was ashtrays with your hand print on them. Mornings...Yikks, I am a beast, then magically I turn into this nice person. Good luck and have a great week-end. Naomi
