school!

Well, i went and did it. I applied to go back to school.OMG it was such a spur of the moment thing but it's something that is really important to me. If i work hard i should have my degree in 5 years. I'll be 33. I feel guilty that it took me this long to go back but i guess better late than never. I am getting excited, and a little scared. Mostly i'm worried about encountering people from my past that have seen me at my worst. i was SUCH a blackout drinker, and i still cringe when i think back to those days. However, my self esteeem is growing, and the more i share with people from a.a , the more it will be easier to stand up for myself. I hope. I should try to open up more at meetings and let out this baggage i still carry. That being said, i think there's one in an hour and a half.... better arrange for a sitter....

I was a black-out drunk. Don\'t worry about meeting people that might of seen you in that state, the only people that you should take notice of are the people that don\'t judge something they havn\'t lived through.
You will probably find that there is nothing to worry about anyway, we all worry to much when there wasn\'t any need to worry in the first place.
Relax and enjoy this second chance you have in life, think positive and positive things will happen.
You said your self esteem is growing in AA meetings, theres no reason why that wont happen at school.
