School?
My little beanie baby is going to be starting school in september. Hes going to be in a classroom with other children who have developmental delays for whatever reason. I know starting school early will greatly benifit him but i can't help but feel bad cause hes so young only 2 and a half and hes so little yet. I had a hell of a time even finding him a back pack that wouldn't over take him. Chase seems excited about it though he loves other children and he will finally get the bus ride he always wanted. I'm also worried about the other children. Kids can be very mean and Chase looks different.. no helmet anymore but he has a very visable scar and wears a patch on his one eye and keeps his left hand balled up in a fist for the most part. Already when we go out kids constantly ask about his head or his eye. Chase of course is too little to understand and bless his little heart he is still a very happy and outgoing and loving tough little boy. I'm probably just overreacting.

LOVE the picture. SOOOOO CUTE!!!
I hope it will all work out. And if he is so happy and excited about school and the bus and other kids he may do ok. Of course with other kids with developmental delays, some things may be said but for the most part it is not out of meaness. Most of the time the kids dont truly realize what they are doing/saying. Or they are just trying to get the teachers attention and dont really know how to do it in a positive way.
You can read my one journal entry about a girl I work with that has TBI. she is 8 now, and had hers when she was younger. She has a scar on her head too. Kids used to pick on hert, but she is \"ok\" with that now. She knows she has a \"brain boo boo.\"
Chase seems like quite the trooper. I think he is blessed to have a great mom like you!!!
