Scary Day
My 4th allergy shot didn't go well. I got really itchy, developed a red rash and my throat felt tight. I went back to an office and they gave me a shot of benadryl and had me use my epi pen. They called an ambulance and brought me to the ER. The EMTs tried three times to get an iv but couldn't get one. I was monitored at the ER, given an iv that they didn't use. They had me drink Dex. Said to follow up with family doctor and allergist. I don't think I will be able to get the shots anymore.

Wow that is some really scary stuff for sure.
Yes, definitely follow up with an allergist. In my experience, they are extremely thorough and will be able to help you understand what\'s going on. Sorry you had to go through that, I know it\'s scary. Hope you are feeling ok now. Hugs, Sadie
It\'s very hard for me to see the allergist because they are 30 minutes away and I have to take taxis that end up being $50. I hope he can do it over the phone. I feel tired today, my leg where I gave myself the epi oen is sore and my stomach is acting up.
