Scared & Surprised
Well, I've been through a couple of emotions the last few days. I went to do my laundry Saturday morning about 5 and the laundromat was dark. Only one set of lights on. I thought at first it was closed, but noticed the doors were unlocked. And the door to the back that is normally closed and locked was open. Dumb-dumb me, I went inside and walked to the back and turned on the lights. Then, I opened the door and the super loud burglar alarm went off. Scared the sh,t out of me! Called 911 on my cellphone and told the cops. They said to wait outside. One cop showed up about 10 minutes later and another drove up about 10 minutes after that. It seems the burglars had come in from the back and, apparently scared off by the alarm. Sure glad I didn't get there any earlier!This morning, I had jury duty. Got assigned to a court, but before all the questions were answered, we got an hour lunch break. Well, there are a bunch of fast food places on the Interstate about 6 or 7 blocks away and I headed for them. The first one I saw was a Taco Bueno. There were only 2 or 3 cars in the lot and I stopped. Walked in and there were at least 20 or 30 high school kids in there. I didn't know that 5 buses had unloaded at the next place. I figured it'd be a long wait and I resigned myself to it. I'd been there maybe 2 or 3 minutes when a young boy came up to me and said I could go the head of the line! I didn't know him nor him me and I asked if he was sure. He said all the kids in line had agreed to let me go in front of them! I thanked him and all the kids and told them I was on jury duty and this really helped. How about that? Twenty kids let me go in front of them! That just made my day and gave me a little respect for the younger generation.

See there are a lot of good kids and parents who are bringing them up. Glad you didn\'t get hurt by the burglars. No more walking in a dark building. Take care. Sue
