Scandal
I know it's just a TV show, but Scandal pisses me off. No - I have never watched it - that's my disclaimer before I go further - but UGH. The commercials make me want to reach through the screen and throttle someone.
OK. So some skanky hoe has sex with a married man (nevermind that he's the president) and OF COURSE it's the wife's fault for being a "cold bitch". Because... of course. That's the ONLY reason a man would cheat. He has no passion, no love, no fire in his life except for being with another woman. OF COURSE. It MUST be the woman's fault. It's the ONLY thing that makes sense.
Yeah, I know, there's undoubtedly more to the show than that (there had better be!) but lord, those previews and commercials just chap my hide.
Sigh. Sorry. Just catching up on other tv shows and having to watch the "OMG SCANDAL IS SO AWESOME" stuff jerks me around emotionally so very much.

I have to confess that I have watched that entire series up until this current season.it was just a good distraction. And I had the same problem with the affair.the only good thing is that the lead character who is having the affair with the president is constantly miserable.but so is the president and so is his wife.the worst part is that they make it out to be A meant to be love affair.. An affair that they just cant fight.
I guess it\'s just how people try to make sense of something that just doesn\'t make sense (in real life) but ugh.
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU, ALLORA. Before the A and DDay I was not a fan of such shows. AND NOW I TOTALLY ABHOR THEM!! They look like they are condoning, romanticizing and promoting affairs. And are practically a \'training handbook\' on the practice. YUCK PS. sorry I so totally over use the word totally.
