scan results

Hi DS friends,
Steve had scans last Wednesday and the results were stable. The radiology report was handed to us before we left! It is wonderful to not wait a week or more to see the results. NO CHANGE was seen. Even his creatine was 3.1. I know that is way too high but for Steve it was down from last time!  Steve asked him a question and the doctor said " you tell me, you are on a level that is way out there from anyone else" !!
Steve is very sensitive to responding to people who are battling cancer!  We know very well that he has survived a very long time. We have a friend who battled and came out on top. He often will say that God healed me and took the cancer away. Well that is probably true but why would God take his and not Steve's.  So we praise God but are careful about how we say things to others who are in the fight. We do give God the glory for surviving this long but at the same are sensitive to others that may not get that healing.  Why do some live and others don't?  Even the Reverend Billy Graham can't answer that so I won't even venture a guess. Our faith is strong. I am weak so I do fear living without him. We talk about this quite a bit, not fearing death but fear leaving our loved ones. When that time comes we are ready to meet our Lord. We can't get to heaven without death so I know it comes to each of us. Jesus provided that way on the cross!
How did I get into that? I didn't mean too!
Spring is finally here and I am reminded that everything that died last fall is coming back up and the cycle starts over. Just like our future, we will come into the presence of our Lord when we die!
I send my love and prayers to each of you,
Wanda
didn't mean to sound like a preacher, just very spiritual this morning!

FANTASTIC report, Wanda! Stable is the next best thing to gone! Steve and Ray have both been very blessed with extra time. No...we\'ll never understand why some folks don\'t live very long with this disease. My heart breaks for all of them and their families.

I, too, am thrilled that Spring has arrived...though it\'s been pretty darn chilly here the past few days. It\'s fun to watch everything budding out. I planted 22 pots of flowers this year, and am enjoying them so.

Take care, Hon, and give Steve a Congraulations from us!

Love You,
Ingrid

Wanda - so very pleased to hear your news! It\'s wonderful that some are able to keep this dread disease at bay. Long long may it continue!!
Keep talking to each other - I\'m sure that this is so helpful, and healing, and you\'ll remember the things that you say to each other long into the future.
Love to you and Steve both

Dear Wanda,
You are right - there is no explanation why for some the news stays good, stable, and for others, the disease takes over. What we don\'t understand, we must accept - I guess. For what else can we do? It has not to do with fairness, or luck, or any such thing. It just is what is in the cards for each of us. And so we live from day to day, trying to do the best we can do.
Love, Gloria

What wonderful news. Its times like this that our faith in the Lord is deepened and we count our blessings. I am so happy for \" no change\". Spring is trying to come here as well, but we still have had nights in the low 30\'s. I have plants indoors, just waiting to go in the ground. I can\'t wait. I have mowed the acre and a half already. Nothing stops grass growing ! Have a glass of wine, and toast each other !!!!!

Wanda, haven\'t been able to get on site for almost a year, maybe more. I\'ve gotten messages from you and 2 others but D.S. didn\'t allow me to open them. It was a mess. Today I broke the link with Facebook and was able to open another account. Thank God. I\'m am going through my 3rd occurrence
with RCC. Have been on Sutent for 15 months. Has given me some stability. I do hope that Steve improves. Shall pray for both of you. Andrea
