Scared

A girl I work with told my supervisor that I am not 100% in my job, I have had a head ache everyday for over 2 months and she knew this, so they both sat me down and said they are worried about me, now I am scared that I might lose my job, with my husband out of work we are low on finds and even though I had all those head aches i didn't miss one day of work and she missed ALOT, so now I have to watch everthing I do and had to get more nerve pills to help me out, what a bitch, I have ben there 4 almost 3 years and now I am worried.

I am so sorry this happened to you Amy. Now you know not to tell people whats going on with you. You never know who to trust. Hopefully things will work out for you. I think she overstepped her boundaries and that you should have been the one to talk to your supervisor about it. I would go into her office and talk this out to your supervisor. Tell her that she should have not been the one to talk to her about it and it was disrespectful and appologize that you didn\'t mention it to her earlier. You may have to get a Dr note about your headaches so they can keep it in your employee file. Just something that says that you are ok to work with the headaches.

Make sure your dr fills out FMLA papers. (Family medical leave act) This will cover your illness and all days that you take for sick. If you are in a small company, this may not be an option.

Either way, check with your local MS society. They have a team of lawyers who you can consult regarding the fear of losing your job. It was offered to me as a service. They give free advice so there is nothing to lose! You have rights when you have a chronic illnes! They should be worried for you suing their a**es!
