scans
Good morning everyone,
I must admit that I am worried about the scans tomorrow. I am always nervous but Steve was so anxious yesterday. All day he told me that he smelled a chemical smell in the house. I had not used any cleaning products anywhere. I thought he might be smelling my face cream and so I washed it off. He continued thru the day over and over trying to find the smell that he said was smelling. It was driving him a little crazy He picked up blackets, and pillows and tried to see where the smell was coming from. Late last night he said "I think it is the cancer". I tried to reassure him that it wasn't but who knows, do you think the sutent can alter your smell? Has anyone ever heard of that?
Living with cancer sucks, please pray for Steve that he gets a good report. Please pray also for those who are having such a hard time, Pieper's husband, Karen's husband, and Gloria's husband and Meriel's husband, just to name a few. I keep saying to myself that God will never leave us nor forsake us. I know he hears our prayers. And for what ever reason he chooses to not answer all of them. I am getting in over my head now because I don't understand all there is to know about God. One day we will have the chance to ask God these questions. But as a person told me once, when we get to heaven it won't matter anymore.
God Bless everyone on this site. I lift you in prayer.

Wanda - I will be praying for you and for Steve tomorrow. I can understand, just a little, how Steve feels. Even though my first scan after surgery isn\'t until the end of April, I can sympathize with his nagging and growing anticipation. I put my faith in God that he will send me the courage and strength when I need it most. I have faith that you and Steve will also receive the same blessing.
Praying for You and Steve and all the others out there battling this horrible disease.
Wanda, prayers of peace for you and Steve with the scans coming up tomorrow. The anxiety is not fun. God will walk with you through each step, and carry you both through the difficult times, you know that. Continue to lean on your friends here, too. We are here for you.
Hugs,
Karen
Dearest Wanda - praying for you and Steve that the scans will once again show stability. So sorry you\'re not having an easy ride just now. I don\'t know anything about Sutent and a strange smell, but, I think it\'s important not to dwell on signs that might mean nothing at all. Oh dear how easy it is to say that, until it\'s you, isn\'t it?
Love and light to you Wanda, and hoping so much that this time tomorrow your minds will be at rest

Dear Wanda, I am always so sorry when one of my dear friends have to face another scan. I remember all too well the worry and stress this creates. Please hang on to your faith and hope...we can\'t keep moving forward without it. I recall that certain treatments affected M\'s senses. He mostly complained about his sense of touch and taste....but perhaps for some people these drugs can affect their sense of smell. You and all my dear DS friends have a journey that is so very difficult. I think you are all so very brave and wonderful. Please have courage and know that my love and prayers are with you always. Linda
Dear Wanda,
Thinking of you and Steve and praying your reports are stable - we have been through a hellish time here lately, but today is a lot better day for him. Will write when I have a clear head. You will do fine tomorrow I just know it. And if Sutent definitely can alter the taste buds, then why not the smell buds? They are interrelated! Good luck to you.
Gloria
Hi Wanda, my Hubby Rich\'s smeller gets much more sensitive on the last 2 weeks of Sutent. I don\'t know that cancer has a smell but have been told it does by some nurses before. They didn\'t describe a chemical smell though.
Much luck and prayers on the scan
Hugs!

Wanda, lifting you and Steve up in prayers as Steve walks the scan walk one more time. We know that God has a plan for us, sometimes we just don\'t know what it is, just have to have faith, which I know you two do have. luv and hugs from Texas Annette
Dear Wanda & Steve, Praying for a clean scan tomorrow. The waiting must be dreadful, but our Lord will give you both the courage and strength that you need.
