Saturday,we met my new care worker yesterday
Good morning journal, the time is now 4:50am,I have been awake since around 4:00am,yes,you've guessed it,our canine children roused me to go for their daily morning sojourn out back,we really have no need for alarm clocks in our home,we have fur covered ones, they used to get me up for work, same time without fail, now, although I don't need to go anywhere, they still do it,I guess old habits die hard. Caesar has crawled back to bed beside my wife while Buttons is the one on the sofa this morning,Bree came in briefly, acknowledged my presence, then promptly disappeared back to our bedroom to curl up beside her human mother. I enjoy this quiet time, without my hearing aids in,it is very peaceful, and I am able to focus and concentrate a little easier without the noise and distraction that the day brings as it progresses. Yesterday,we finally met my new mental health care worker, her name is Farida Abbas, she is very nice indeed, she called us before she arrived to make sure we were still available to see her, when my wife answered the telephone Caesar barked loudly as he always does when he hears it ring,Ms Abbas heard him and asked my wife if we could put the dogs in another room as she has a fear of them. Needless to say,at first my wife was not a happy person, her fur babies are her children, the only children we have left, but we put Buttons and Bree in our bedroom and Caesar out back before Ms Abbas arrived. When she did,she apologized to my wife for having to put our dogs away, which endeared her back into my wife's good books straight away, and we had just started our meeting when Caesar jumped up at the back window to see what he was missing, whereupon Ms Abbas nearly fell out of her chair with fright,Caesar is one big boy and he is all muscle, but he's a pussycat,it's just that his sheer size and his brute strength make people a little wary of him,but once he knows you you have a friend for life. As our meeting progressed,Ms Abbas grew on us,she was very polite, very young, but then everybody seems young to me these days, but she was very respectful and listened extremely well, she also faced me and allowed me to lip read what she was saying, which made things a whole lot easier for me. By the end of her visit,we were calling her by her first name and she was doing the same, she is going to try and find out the results of my brain scan from doctor Prince,my psychiatrist,if she can't,or they won't tell her,she is going to request that a copy of the results are sent to my own doctor so he can tell me. We mentioned that a hearing aid compatible telephone would be a great help to us,and she said that she would find out if one could be provided for us,I also showed her the letter that I had received that same morning from the occupational therapy department with a telephone assessment appointment scheduled for January 16th at 9:00am,and she made a note of that too, very professional. We explained that as she was the third care worker to be allocated to us in as many months,we were a little unsure of exactly how long she would be with us,she assured us she was in it for the long haul, finally,a permanent, dedicated care worker of our very own,I'm a happy boy.She is going to come and visit us once a month, but she left her contact details with my wife just in case we need to get hold of her in a hurry before her next visit, and she also promised to try and overcome her fear of the dogs as she got to know us,and them,a bit better, this act alone earned her massive brownie points with my wife, and also,if I'm honest, with me as well,we understand her fear, and we appreciate her candidness and her courage. Well journal, once again it is time to replenish my coffee cup and go about my morning prayers,I love this early time of the day with God,and as we get ready for another walk with Him,we ask that He continue to strengthen us and provide our needs for this day,let us seek to lean on His right arm again, and may His love and grace fill our home and our hearts today,in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord,........Amen.

This is good news. You described the dog jumping at the window and scaring your new worker so well I had to laugh. :)
Jesus,
We thank you for what you have done so far, and for what you are going to do for this brother and sister
Continue to watch over them.
Thanks, again
Amen.
