saturday\'s adventures with my mom

ok...i will admit it. i loved xanadu! yesterday i took my mom to see it on broadway. now i loved this movie as a kid and i always enjoyed the music, but i was honestly apprehensive about seeing this play/musical at first....i thought it was going to be cheesy and not very good. well, it was cheesy, funny, and really enjoyable. i think that those who saw the movie would definitly appreciate the play/musical more....since we already know its background, the music, plus we would understand the back handed inside jokes. anywho, i am a dork and i am not ashamed of it!!! the rain yesterday was horrible!!! now if any of you know how times square can be with people, you can only imagine how it was plus umbrellas. people would just stop right in front of you, bang you with their umbrellas, camp out on street corners, and simply stand there still when they have the light. now i was born and raised in bklyn, have been coming into the city my whole life, and i have even lived on the chelsea/village border for the past 6 yrs....and i still hate the crouds of times square! after seeing the show, we went to ruby tuesdays and had a nice meal...thankfully by then the rain stopped. we then went back to my place and hung with trey for a bit. i put her in a car service home that night. overall we had a really nice day out. my mom loved the show as well and i was very happy about this.  so thats my story! otherwise, i am feeling better this weekend...hopefully my better mood will continue. love you all!!!
