Saturday morning
I surprised myself this morning by dragging my rear out of bed early, and entering the local Loop the Lake run. It was a 4 mile run around our lake, and part of the homecoming events of the past week. I actually made it without having to walk. I took the first half of the run easy, but then the competitive part of me kicked in. I started looking at the people in front of me, and tried to reel them in. My pace was nothing special, averaged about 10 minute miles, but I just wanted to get out and run. I probably didn’t do too badly since I have hardly run at all in the past 6 months. My heel had been feeling a little better, but still not back to 100% yet. We will have to see how I feel later today, and tomorrow! I’ve got “rubber legs” right now, and an ice pack on my heel. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Good for you! I\'m off to South Carolina and hoping to get some good runs in down there. Hope the rest of your weekend is good and that you remain mobile! CJ
I am glad you can run 4 miles. When I walk 4 miles I\'m thinking I\'m doing good. Keep it up, I know I feel so much better after my walks. Helps relieve the stress we have. Keep us updated on how your doing.
