SATAN's Yard Sale- U BUYING??
One day, Satan decided to have a yard sale and put out a few of his old tools that he often used on mankind to oppress, deceive, and just general purpose. He sat up his table with a clear view for all to see and the demons came running in hopes of getting the best opportunity to learn from Satan the tricks and tools of deception and oppression.
On the table Satan had only 3 tools to sale. The demons were a bit disappointed as they thought surely he had more tools of his trade than this. Satan assured the demons, "These are GREAT tools if you know how and when to use them. I promise not to just sale you the tools but tell you the purpose and how they are used." Now the demons were chomping at the bit to make sure they got at least one of these tools.
The first tool was horrible to look at and the demons were sure this must be the most powerful tool to use on mankind. It was a club, but not just any club. It had spikes, bumps, and all sorts of things to inflict pain. Satan spoke up. "This tool is not my most powerful but it is very useful at the right time on the right person in the right place. This tool's name is Condemnation. Now, lots of Christians don't get it that there is no condemnation in Christ. They fail to put on the entire armor of God and this is a great tool to do some major damage to someone who is unschooled in the Holy Bible and what God promises."
The second tool was horrible to smell and filthy looking. Satan spoke up. "This tool is not my most powerful but it is very useful at the right time on the right person in the right place. This tool's name is Guilt & Shame. Now, this little beauty looks just like an old time oil can, right? The stuff inside is just as dark, gooey and the smell is absolutely horrendous. It eats away at the soul of whomever you use it on. It soaks into their minds and keeps them from being effective for God. You just need to pour this liberally on a Christian who doesn't know that Jesus was more than a sin offering atoning for humanity but He was also a guilt offering like in the Old Testament (Lev 4:13-21). Think of how the Christian's show Christ on the cross. It's always His front. The healing stripes on His back that no one looks at are also for healing of guilt & shame."
The third tool looked nothing like the other two. It was small, about the size of a half-dollar coin, was twisted with a barb at the end. The demons were not impressed with this tool at all. Thinking it a joke they cornered Satan. "What is this? Some joke? What is this and what could it possibly be used for against humanity?" Satan spoke up. "This tool IS MY MOST POWERFUL TOOL of all!! It will work on any Christian at any time, any where, and any situation! The barb goes in with a twist into the thoughts of the Christian and remains there until the Christian daily renews his mind with the words in the Holy Bible. This tool's name is DISCOURAGEMENT. It works on anyone from the pastor right down to the new convert and if not removed and treated with the Holy Bible's words and mediation to renew the mind, well, fellas, this is my most used and most favorite. Once you got somebody thinking wrong thoughts, it's like Adam & Eve in the Garden all over again."
My question to you, as it is to myself, do we unwittingly visit Satan's Yard Sale????
