Satan dream...

WEIRD....
For the first time ever, I had a dream about Satan.  Though it wasn't a bad dream, it freaked me out (after all, it was Satan!) so I had to look it up this morning.   What I found out about this type of dream makes TOTAL SENSE.
Back story:  yesterday, I went on a meetup snowshoe hike in the canyon.   We got about 4 inches of fresh new snow by Noon and I was worried that the slick driving conditions would be dangerous for everyone, but everybody took their time and we spent hours hiking up to waterfalls in the forest (and sorry, I forgot my camera)...
I've been feeling a bit lonely this week.  Not only from having cut N out of my life, but my seasonal affective disorder has been kicking in because I haven't been getting outdoors and on top of it, I gained all my weight back (and then some).  I'm back to being as heavy as I was the day I moved out here (my heaviest ever), and I HURT.  Feet hurt, back hurts... just hurt....
Doom and gloom thoughts yesterday... I actually wondered on the drive up whether or not I'd have a heart attack doing it because it's been a long time since I've moved physically.  Silly fears, I guess, because as soon as we got started, I got into my pace and my heart rate monitor said I was right on track...
24 people came... Best turn out ever!  I made new friends, got closer to more recent new friends (and exchanged phone numbers)... made plans for hiking campouts this summers... had A WONDERFUL time...
And met a guy.  Definitely not the guy for me (he's my son's age), but it triggered feelings.  We hit it off right away - loves hiking and snowshoeing AND mountain biking - he moved to Spearfish so he'd be able to do more with me if we wanted, even trusted me enough to get into my vehicle to go up to another waterfall after the first one ended (and no, we weren't alone - another vehicle was following with 4 more women).  It was a GREAT time...
And here's why this dream kicked in... I had so much fun, I kept thinking about him on the way back to town... thought about how he was the kind of person I want to look for in the future... nice, had the same interests, attractive (not in a handsome way, but in a friendship kind of way, know what I mean?)... and IMMEDIATELY I thought about David (my x)...  And I immediately felt GUILTY like I was betraying him.   I loved him SO MUCH.  By the time I finished the 30 minute drive, I felt emotionally like the rope in a tug of war game...
My son thinks I'm ready to date again... I'm SO NOT READY...
And so the dream...
David didn't even appear once in this one - he's been in every one for the past month and in them we'd do things... boating, camping, laughing... good dreams...
This one, I dreamt I had magical powers (like a witch) that I used to help people.  I was living in a nice house with several friends/family, and we all used our powers to help others.   Cats surrounded us (not related to anything except I woke up this morning to find my cats had decided to be territorial last night and peed on my snowshoes right outside my bedroom door - yeah, my fault - I didn't put them away because they were still snowcovered and I was waiting for it all to melt off.   GRRR... Oh, sorry, off track there, lol...)
Anyways.... my friends/family left to go help people and I was taking a break, playing with the cats, and there was a knock on the door.   Satan was standing there on the other side.  I wouldn't let him in, but next thing I knew he was inside the house.  He wasn't threatening, but in fact super charming (a wolf in sheep's clothing).   I stepped aside and just watched... he was SO TEMPTING, handsome, blond, reminded me of David a bit... two of his minions came... one was silent, smaller, the kind of guy I seem attracted to (not necessarily handsome, a little overweight - buff guys make me feel unattractive because right now, I'm not buff myself) and the other guy was Robin Williams (yea, now remember, I did say WEIRD, lol).   The Robin Williams was just like he is... a character that makes me just laugh hysterically, the kind of guy I'm TOTALLY attracted to, the kind of guy David was...  David's best quality was that he always made me laugh...
Satan proceeded to alter my house, not in any threatening way, but a little change here, a little change there, to make my place more comfortable...
And then I woke up.
Wanna know something even weirder?  I went to bed last night with my hair free, woke up this morning to it being in a pony tail, and I didn't even have a rubber band with me when I went to bed...
Here's the interpretations...
"The devil in your dream may personify your fear or repressed desires that have been buried in the underworld of the unconscious. In reality, the unconscious mind is not full of evil demons and satanic forces; it is your inner resource that gives energy and wisdom. Your own fear of the unknown prevents you from finding the wholeness and healing that the unconscious offers. Alternatively, the Devil may symbolise evil words and deeds that you or others have been displaying in waking life. What the devil fears most is light and love. Honesty and kindness may be the right form of conduct to overcome the perceived evils that trouble you.Mystical Meaning:The figure of Satan occurs in the Jewish Christian and Islamic traditions. Originally he was a god that represented fertility and the powers of Nature. Similarly the cloven footed god Pan of the ancient Greeks was a god of the abundance of nature. These ancient symbols of fertility are sometimes used by the unconscious to show the inauguration of a new phase of psychological growth."
And...
"Satan represents a fear in your subconscious about the amount of temptation in the world. Which is kinda funny, since the subconscious tends to like a good temptation now and then. But basically, the idea is that temptation is all around you - chances to make the wrong choices, basically. Your subconscious is afraid you are at risk of making a mis-step that will cost your reputation, your finances, or break your heart."
Got that right... And...
"Dreams about Satan could indicate a variety of things evil, temptation, material things, it could also indicate you are worried if you can trust people or if they are wearing a fake front."
BINGO.  MAN, I've got a LONG ways to go....
Oh, and one more thing... I went to church and the sermon was about love connections with the important people in your life (basically spouses).   By the time I left (again feeling tugged), I KNEW that God was preparing me for the new SOMEONE.  UGH.  LATER.

Well you have made some very insightful inquiries. I found it very interesting. You have vivd dreams. I do to but I have never been able to control my dreams like you can. I guess because I always feel out of control with the way things have happened in my real life.

WOW! That is a dream! Interesting to see how this plays out and the conclusions that come eventually.
