Saints preserve ME!
OK, now I don't know who figured out what or when, but if you know, please let me know where to complain. Why, pray tell, does puberty hit the same time as Jr. High? I mean the extra homework, the new school, the new kids, the new pecking order AND RAGING HOROMONES? This isn't just wrong, it is sadistic and warped! After talking my 11 yr old down from the ceiling to do homework, which he insists is too much, he is also spazzing out about the other class where he is to learn to use a saw. Now, my 11 yr old is a how can I say this gently, there is no way, he's terrified of anything to do with saws, sharp tools, etc. Totally freaks! So I calm him by saying I will speak to the teachers (yeah, beat the criteria for a class! HA!) and so we set to work on Science. I liked science in school....yes, I'm a closet geek. Love learning everything and will to try almost anything within reason. Must be his father's fault. ROFLOL So we get ready to do science and the phone interrupts and spaz-o again but this time to his bedroom and refuses saying he's tired and going to sleep. Now, I've already taken enough of my Counseling courses to talk him down from the top bunk, and I'm mother of 4 so I can deal. I could soooooo do the UN thing. ROFLOL Got all the science completed and explained it to him in his terms and surprise he understood when I related it to his life. Are teachers just not doing their jobs and I have to do it at home? SHEEZ! I mean I just a few days ago explained mathematics to my sis who was freaking out and going to drop college and she said "Oh, well, no one ever told me like that! I UNDERSTAND NOW!" So, either I am God's divine teacher in WV or our educational system is shot to Hell. I think the latter is more likely. Saints preserve me. St. Frances of ......darn.......can't remember the name at the moment but she is patron saint of PATIENCE! She was my pick Later peeps. I'm gonna do some plaque work......I deserve it. Love & hugs.
