Safely Home
Hi all my dear friends at DS. What a wonder group we have here at DS to support us even when we are away for a period of time.
The trip to Cancun was very beautiful and something I feel my husband and I needed to reconnect since the loss of my son Kenny. What better place then the peaceful sounds of the ocean. The beauty of the different colors of the water and the white caps as they come tumbling in to the shore. Just one beauty that God has given us on this place we call earth, our home at the present.
Today on our last leg of our flight, the clouds were starting to roll in yet there was the beauty of the sun. On top was a long black cloud, next was a beautiful red strip of the sun as it was going down and then below the beautiful red sun was another black cloud along with white fluffy clouds. As both my husband and was watching the sunset, we were not saying anything, just enjoying another of God's beauty that He has given us on this place we call Earth. As I was glancing out at the white clouds, the dark clouds, the red sun my thoughts went to my son Kenny and I thought you know maybe he is just sitting there on one of the flowing white fluffy clouds as the airplane was passing by watching the beauty that my husband and I was enjoying thinking " Wow, I am glad mom had a good week". "I know she has been so sad, since I went to Heaven". Then in that moment in my head popped. Wow, my son my son Kenny is with Jesus in Heaven. Enjoying more beauty than we in our humble bodies could ever discover in our lifetime. Only the day we arrive in Heaven will we really know the true beauty that God has for us. Until that time comes, we do have the comfort or knowing that our children are seeing all the beauty that is still waiting for us when God calls us home.
Unknowing, I turned to my husband to tell him what I had been thinking, and his reply was "I was thinking the same thing"..Wow how wonderful God Works.
Although my son is not on this place we call Earth and he is missed by so many, and one or more of your children are also in that presence of God. What joy that is to know that God has them safely in His arms of Love. We miss them, we wish they were here, but as we look around at the beauty of this Earth that God made for us to enjoy, I can't even imagine the beauty our children are in the most beauty to behold. That we can be thankful for. Even in our pain, there is something that we can be thankful for to our God to have His arms of love protecting our children until He calls us home.
So even in our sadness, through our tears, we can take in the beauty of this place called Earth that is nothing to compare to what we have to see when our Heavenly Father calls us home and we have the peace of knowing our children are being protected by God in his arms of love and they are now safely home.
To all my friends here at DS, how I have missed you all this week. I love all of you, just taking the time to read my journals and the beautiful comments of love and support each of you give to me.
Love to all,
Sandi

Dear Sandi, thank you for your very special journal entry. You are so right, we see and are in awe or God\'s creation, but cannot even begin to comprehend what He has in store for us when the day comes that we can join our children in Heaven. What a beautiful picture you have painted, thank you and I am glad you and your husband had a great trip, Love, Charlene, Mitchells mom
Hi Sandi. I\'m glad glad you had a good trip! I also enjoyed your journal today.Even though I miss my son\'s presence here on earth, I know he\'s safe in Heaven, with no more pain. I just trust in God that when my time comes I will be reunited with my son in Heaven, as you want to be with yours. Love to you, Cherie
What you just talked about is really the only thing that really brings me any peace and comfort. I know beyond a shadow of a doubt that John is in a place filled with beauty, health, peace and love. Some day we will go there too. In the meantime God will walk us through the valleys. I am glad that you had a nice time with you hubby. You sure need some of that, happy times together. Hugs.
I am so grateful that your husband and you had this time to reconnect. Your entry is beautifully written and filled with so much hope and trust. Trusting that our children are in the loving arms of our creator and that we too will be there some day and reunited with all of our loved ones. I can feel your sense of calm, deep peace and healing that happened while on vacation. Glad you are back safely in the fold and that you could share with us the beauty of this time away. Love and Hugs, Joanie
Probably the best place to be in the whole world is up in the clouds. Youre description of the red stripe of sun, the black clouds and the white clouds is beautiful. There is such comfort in clouds for me now....clouds and a beautiful sunset. This world is so beautiful. I love thinking of Greg in a place more beautiful than even this world is. Thanks for painting such a shining and peaceful image for us. Love and Peace, Anne
