Sadness on DS & My Weekend
Ugh, Monday. Well I don't have a whole lot to say, but I did want to do some shout outs to all my DS sisters who are suffering right now. There's a lot of sadness, loss and grief out there and I just want to say you are all in my thoughts and prayers and my heart goes out to you. I wish you all peace and comfort and whatever it is you need to get through these dark times. So much in life is unfair, and I wish I could make sense of why any of us struggle, why some people have things so easy and others suffer. I know it might sound childish, but it seriously plagues me everyday to think how unfair and unjust the world is.
So I had probably one of the best weekends of 2013 - not because I did anything special, but because it was the first weekend, yes, the FIRST weekend in a very long time that I didn't have to go to the RE on either day or both days. How sad is this, I had a mammogram yesterday (just routine) and yet I still say it was one of the best weekends! How f'ed up is it that I say it was one of the best weekends and I had a mammogram!? Yep, that is definite proof something is not right in my world. Of all the things I don't like about a mammogram, I think signing my name to verify that I am not pregnant hurts the most. On Saturday, it was soooo nice to wake up and not have to rush out the door to the RE or anywhere for that matter, it was the first relaxing, non-stressful day I've had in a very very long time and it felt GREAT. I know you all get this, sadly, when I mentioned this to a few friends, they all said the same thing (which in hindsight I guess I should have seen coming): "wait til you have a kid, you won't be able to relax or have a day like that." I said the same thing each time: bring it on because I will gladly trade what I've been doing for a stressful day with a baby.
Anyway, in terms of my next steps, I am waiting for AF to show up (should be in about 5-7 days) so I can schedule my hysteroscopy. My clinic does them on CD 3-5.
Sending love and baby dust and healing thoughts to all. Hope this is a better week for all.
xoxo

It is a messed up world we live in when its a good weekend when we have something like a mammogram versus having to go to the RE! I can not wait until I can not longer relax on weekends or sleep in! It will be the best thing ever! Good luck with your hysteroscopy!
This world is unfair and I too can\'t wait to be woken up by the sound of a crying baby! I tear up just thinking about it!
Sounds more like a pain than a great weekend but yes we all get how not having to deal with the ins and outs of IF is a relief. I don\'t get people that nake these types of comments about their kids. I am lucky enough to have my son and I don\'t think I\'ve ever even imagine having one of those thoughts. I can only guest it\'s there way of trying to make you feel better but what a miss.
I hope you can have more weekends like this, without the mamo.
Sending you so much love too.
I understand what you mean about a weekend without the RE, they are few and far in between. I hate that little box as well, pregnant, not pregnant. At the dermatologist it asks, plan to be pregnant in the next six months. Never know how to answer that one? Do I plan to be, yes, will I be? Who the hell knows, probably not.
Anyway, hang in there. I am rooting for you. I hope AF shows on time and your hysteroscopy looks great, which then leads to starting your FET which leads to a BFP. As you see I have high hopes for you.
Hang in there.
\"wait til you have a kid, you won\'t be able to relax or have a day like that.\" I said the same thing each time: bring it on because I will gladly trade what I\'ve been doing for a stressful day with a baby.
I used to get that comment a lot, even after pregnant, and even from people who knew our story. I never understood this; much like you I was bring it on because it means I will have a kid.
Glad you had a \"good\" weekend, and hope you have a good week.
My sister is always saying stupid things like that. Like it\'s funny or will make us laugh...it\'s not and it doesn\'t. I hope all goes well with your hysteroscopy and so glad you had a nice weekend to relax!
It\'s amazing what people will say to you even when they know your struggles. My hairdresser who is 7 months pregnant was talking to me about how awful she felt and on and on she went. She knows whats up because she is a friend and I just looked at her said I would take all of that and then some. I mean come on, you know what I am going through. I think she felt really bad because I got a really beautiful card from her the next week. I had started to feel bad that I spoke up, but you know what we have to stand up for ourselves. I hope that you have a good week as well! :)
It\'s constantly thrown in our faces that people have no clue about IF unless they have experienced it. Even friends, family or people who are very supportive say stupid things because they just don\'t get it. They want to think they do, but they don\'t. My cousin told me over the weekend that she knows how I feel about all the constant blood tests.....she means well but has no clue. She got pregnant easily and 2 babies without one problem and her blood tests were routine pregnancy tests. Um, NOWHERE near the same thing. It\'s frustrating.
Glad your weekend was somewhat relaxing. I know what you mean about the comments...........my so called friend said \"Just wait till you have kids, you will have a whole new set of problems\".........whatever beotch. You have no clue! I hope things for you start to shape up and that you get that baby to keep you up all night!! xoxo
I\'m so glad you had such a great weekend. YAY!!!! YIPPEE!!!
I cannot stand it when people say that, or \"get rest while you can\", or other comments, like your life is over when you have a child or something......with the amount of time and energy that goes in to IF procedures, US, monitoring, Stims, etc....we\'d all gladly have a child......
Come on AF, hurry up and get here so you can have your Hysteroscopy......
So sorry hon, but you know it is a very good world, or your place in it, when you can get any medical care, but I totally know what you mean, during treatment is does feel like we are chained to our fertility clinics! Big hugs!!
XOX
Thanks for mentioning all the sadness on DS lately. I hate this trend we seem to be in. Hopefully soon, there will some more ladies that can help turn the mood around with some success stories for a change.
Glad you had a good weekend! I know that time spent not going to the RE is always more fun for us, too. Good luck with your hysteroscopy!
Glad your weekend was good:) I had an experience with my brother in law who knows of my IF struggles. My nieces were running crazy through the house and he looked at me and said \"Are you sure you want kids?\" That really stung and brought tears to my eyes. Get a clue people!
Ugh I basically second what everybody else has said. We should just go on punching sprees.
