Sadness never ends

I got a call from my niece this afternoon.  Her twin sister's grandson died of a drug overdose last night.  I guess he had bad drugs.  Needless to say, his mom Wendy is distraught.   It is heartbreaking.  He was 16 years old.  I know many of my FMO friends know what she is feeling.  I let Wendy know I am here for her.  However, she lives in Ontario and I am in Alberta.  AND, her mother dislikes me a lot!  So if she wants me to go there, I will. If she doesn't want any more drama, I totally get it.  Some familes are so f'ed up!

I have been trying to access For Moms Only and I get all sorts of wierd sites!  What am I doing wrong?

Jack died last week.  Luckily he was in Hospice.  What a polar opposite to the hospital.  It was the most peaceful passing I have seen.  I am so glad I was there.  In fact, I felt it was an honour.  He was talking and laughing 2 days before.  His Celebration of Life is tomorrow and I am doing a eulogy.

Then, if all goes well, we are off to Edmonton to visit Andrew and Tiina.  It is their wedding anniversary.  Actually, if I don't end up going to Thunder Bay, we will be going to Edmonton.  Nothing seems certain these days.

LOVE, hugs and prayers for Wendy and all who know and love her son. Such a heartbreaking tragedy. I'm so very sorry.

As for FMO....are you referring to FMO on FB? There is no other place for FMO at this current time. The website, formerly formomsonly.org has been closed. Perhaps temporarily, perhaps permanently. I am not on the board, so I have very limited information regarding anything "behind the scenes". I feel SOOOOOOOO blessed (what a weird thing) to have had the FMO experience I did (meaning with DS and all the early moms)!!!!! Not sure where my "healing" would be today had we not had DS as a place to journal. FB is OK....but so NOT the same! I had hoped having our own website....as was Barbara's dream....would have worked out better than it did. But....it's wasn't up to me and I had NO voice....rather, I got "shushed" when I dared to offer my voice. Whatever! God bless Ann is all I can say!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Barbara left "this place" at a beautiful hospice facility so I understand what you say about Jack's departure. I'm glad his last "on earth" experience was filled with laughter and so much LOVE. And what a gift to have been there for that moment....and to be asked to give the eulogy. I know you brought much comfort to all and bless you for it.

Since I'm reading this late (I've been cruising the Caribbean for the past week+) so perhaps you are already with Andrew and Tiina. I hope you had a wonderful visit.

Big LOVE and lots of tight hugs~
