Sadness From The Past.

Today, I got a phone call from my oldest daughter.  She was giving me an update on my ex-wife's condition.  She was hospitalized 3 days ago for tests.  My ex is 62 years old.  She had breast cancer about 20 years ago and the lump was removed and she had radiation and every check she has had since then, every 6 months, has shown nothing.  About 6 weeks ago. her second husband died suddenly without warning.  She was fixing supper and she heard a noise, she went into the living room and he was dead on the couch.  He was 73.
I saw my ex about 3 weeks ago and she had lost so much weight, that I didn't recognize her.  I asked my daughter what was wrong and she said that stress had caused her to lose the weight the past 6 weeks.
Her feet started to swell and they put her on lacix which done nothing.  She started getting short of breath and having no energy so they asked her to come to the hospital for more tests.  She took a chest x-ray and an EKG.  The doctor said her lungs were full of fluid so they told her they had to drain it off.  They drained a liter and a pint of fluid off her lung.  The Dr. then ordered a CAT scan and he said he saw something on her lung and liver that he is concerned about.  This morning, her lung collapsed and she can hardly breathe and they called in a cancer Dr. as well.  They haven't told my daughter anything yet but, she is very concerned and was crying when she was talking to me.
Here I am, a Pastor and a Minister and I am still hated by this woman.  She doesn't speak when she passes me in the hall of the nursing home.  She said 3 words to me the day of our son's funeral in 2005.
To my knowledge, this woman is not a Christian.  She and her husband were party people and drank regularly.  I am being haunted by these questions. Do I go see her and try to win her to Christ?  Do I wait till she asks for me or will she ever ask for me?  Do I ask my daughter to ask her mom is she wants me to come see her?  I really don't know what to do in this situation.  This lady has mocked me and Christianity and what I have stood for, for over 35 years.  I am spending a lot of time in prayer about this and hopefully my daughter can let me know how her mom feels about all of this.  I guess a lot depends on the Prognosis from the Drs. too.  I'll have to wait and see.  Man, this is tough.
