Happy Birthday! I miss your birthday. I don’t mean I forgot it, I mean I miss it. I miss buying you a card (s), and presents, and wracking my brain for the perfect gift. I miss conspiring with your friends and plotting to surprise you.
I miss a lot of things.
I brought you some daffodils, I don’t know how long they’ll last it is so very cold. But even just for a little while you can enjoy them. Just for a while, that describes just about everything doesn’t it? Just for a while . . . we’re here, just for a while, we love, just for a while. Life is so short, there is so little time. Barely enough time to love and never enough time to be with the ones we love, no time at all for hate. I guess those who can’t find love occupy themselves by hating. I have no time to waste on such foolishness.
Still struggling with your taxes. David is trying to help, a lot of paperwork to do and find. I know, but it’s not funny, if I don’t get your taxes right there’s not much that they can do but that would screw up the estates taxes and I’m the executor, they can come after me.
Still cold, the sap was running for a few days but now it has stopped again, too cold. To cold to do any work outside. To cold to get out of bed in my opinion but, I have so much that needs to be done that I have no choice.
Cleaned the entire house today, laundry and everything. I had a major “But First” day.

I agree with you Ken, time is just to short, and we all have so many things still to do. Good luck with the taxes, filed my federal today, or should I say my daughter did. I hope the snow and cold stop for you soon, we are all ready for SPRING. Congrats on getting the housework done. Jane
Birthdays really suck. I think buying Abby daffodils is a great way to remember her and honor her. I\'m trying to do something fun for each of my husband\'s birthday. Last year I took the kids to Great Wolf Lodge. I\'ve had my memories with him, and I\'m trying to create memories for them with me, while I\'m still here. I still can\'t believe the weather up there. I would have to move, but I guess, it\'s where you are most comfortable.

Bobbys birthday came 20 days after his death. We bought a cake and I couldnt even eat any of it. Speaking of taxes, someone stole his identity so I am in a round about with the IRS to get my refund from them trying to prove who we are, etc. Its a ridiculous process! UGG.. Ken, My daghters and I do something that Rodger liked to do on those days that are special.like birthdays anniversarys and such. I think the flowers were a nice touch and I am sure that Abby saw them. As far as taxes go I had a lawyer say to me one time when I was trying to do my step-mothers taxes after she died (What are they going to do Dig her up) so don\'t worry too much about making a mistake the good old IRS will find it and correct it for you. True, life is short, so do the things you want to do. I know what you mean about paperwork, it completely sucks. Everytime I think I am almost done, something else needs to be filled out. I loved my hubby, but I am angry at him for not going over all of this stuff with me. I begged him so many times and he said oh our friends will help you. Boy was he wrong, anyway yup the IRS can be pain in the butts, do not want to piss them off, lol. Hoping life gets better and easier for you. I also hope it starts to warm up for you, just reading your entries makes me want to grab a balnket, lol :) Sending you a hug,

I agree, life is too short to waste on foolish emotions.
Just for a while, sounds like a mantra and one I will embrace to help get me through.

Happy Birthday Abby! What a lovely thing getting her flowers. One month after my hubby passed on was his birthday. We released a dove and several ballons with messages on them. One ballon hung around forever before going behind a cloud. My son Dillon said his dad reached down and got that one :) We also had family over and a day talking about all the special things he brought to our lives. So hard getting through those days.
I just did the taxes. Hate the never ending paper work.
Cold here today so Spring has not decided to stay yet.
