Sad Sunday

Since I was diagnosed with vulvar cancer 11 days ago life is drastically different. I discoveredthe tiny sore spot that grew to the size of a dime in 3 short months. I carry the HPV virus and had a hysterectomy in 2000 due to the pre-cervical cancer that HPVcaused; I believe HPV is the culprit of my vulvar cancer. After reading the posts on this site and discovering a new lesion yesterday, I am feeling down. My insurance and medical office workers are terribly unprofessional, unsympathetic, and they are dragging their feet in getting me the treatment I need. I want to beat this cancer, I want to live, I want to believe in a great big GOD who heals all my diseases and doctors who care......maybe tomorrow will be better. For now I have put my dream career of being an interior designer on hold because I am not sure how I will feel or how the treatments will conflict with work. I received my diploma in Interior design and was diagnosed with vulvar cancera few days later. I must be brave in the face of this news, I wish for all of you healing, strength, comfort & love
Sincerely
Danielle

Clear margins....new words for praying, I will add them. Feeling blah today...yesterday was a good day, still waiting to hear from an oncologist & a treatment plan...is anyone out there, does anyone in the medical field care? this world is full of sick and dying people, I guess I thought having medical insurance would make a difference; God help us all. I read that in the UK there is a 2 week rule when you have an URGENT REFERRAL, guess that does do apply in the US.

Hi Everyone...
Glad to report my recovery is going well. I am 54 and I discovered the cancer in a timely manner which according to the oncologist was key. She also gave me kudos for knowing my body, but I laugh because I rarely look at my vagina and only discovered the cancer because it burned. Anyhow I am going on my third week since surgery and I feel great. I hope all of you a beautiful spring season and that you are able to look outside yourselves and past the cancer to see the flowers blooming and the rebirth of earth...this is your hope, \"life after cancer, a kind of rebirth\". much love to all & God Bless
