Sad news but joy too

My wife's friend Karen, went to be with the Lord this aftrnoon.  She had fought cancer for the last 5 or 6 years, double mastectomies, Chemo, radiation, etc.  It came back and finally took her body but Jesus took her soul to be with Him. When Karen got sick this last time, my wife and I went down to see her and we visited her.  I made sure she was ready to meet the Lord and she said she was.  She had given her heart and life to Christ about 5 years earlier and was baptized into her local church. Karen began to cry and I asked her why, she said it was because she knew her mom wasn't saved.  I asked her where her mom lived and she told me.  I told Karen O wuld go to her mom's house as soon as she and I got done visiting.  I went to her mom's house and led her to the Lord at 77 years old. Had Karen not got sick, her mom may have never been saved. Karen is in Heaven now and someday, her mom can join her again.  What a wonderful comfort this is.  Praise the Lord for His atoning sacrifice and His wonderful amazing grace.

Karen was still thinking of others in her last days. That tells alot about her. It also tells alot about you that you cared enough for her and her Mother to lead her to the Lord. God Bless.

How joyful to be in the company of someone as caring and compassionate as Karen. She was reaching the end of her journey but thinking of her mother. What a beautiful soul. Now her mother will join her when she is called.

I\'m so sorry to hear this. Karen was such a strong woman to endure what was handed her. We could all learn from her.

Bless you, Nancy
